Pregnant With Possibilities
A pregnant woman's body goes through a variety of physical and chemical changes. Not only is a pregnant
woman's center of gravity shifting because of the added weight she must carry through her midsection, but her spinal structure
becomes less stable due to hormonal changes that cause the ligaments in the pelvis to relax. This added degree of flexibility
prepares the ligaments for stretching during the birthing process. As a result, spinal problems can become further aggravated
in an already unstable spine. These and other special circumstances of pregnancy can be addressed with regular chiropractic
care. The goal is to make the body as healthy as possible so that it may handle the rigors of pregnancy and childbirth.
